Fright Tonight
I had finished the work that I had worked on for a year and half. I was extremely happy. When I left the company, all of the staff applauded. It made me hesitate. I took a shower and packed my belongings in a suitcase at my house. The landlord Toni returned me my deposit $500 but after that said, “You might not have paid the rent for last month yet.” No way! I thought. I had to show the mobile phone screen of my bank account’s transfer archives as evidence. About 8 p.m. my colleague picked me up. On the way to LAX, we picked up two colleagues. We went to a sports bar. We enjoyed the last gathering. I treated them to the food because I had $500 so I paid $180 including tips. They took me to the airport around 10:30 p.m. Now, I have written this diary on the airplane from LA to Tokyo.
