Experimenting With a New Artwork
I got an idea for a new artwork. I have not yet received any confirmation regarding my solo exhibition, but I was thinking about what kind of work I should display, and suddenly I was struck by inspiration. I went to a Friday farmers market and bought ginger. After that, I bought white bread as material for the new artwork. I bit into the white bread and took a photo of myself. I have not painted people before, but I felt the need to depict human beings for this artwork. It was still in the experimental stage, so I did not know whether it would be accepted or not. I went to the bar Stiefel. Outside, the terrace area was packed, but there were no customers inside. That kind of situation is the best for me. To my happiness, the bar owner Maria gave me two bitterballen for free. I will appreciate her deep and generous hospitality until the end of my life. I cooked oil spaghetti for dinner, but it was a bit dry, so it was not delicious.
