Start My Solo Exhibition

It was the very first day of my solo showcase. When we left my home, Jan stepped outside and kindly gave us some encouraging words before taking photos of us. It was a chillier day than the previous one. Eri and I arrived at the art gallery, DE BOUWPUT, just before 2 pm. I wrote the exhibition concept because the gallery organizer requested me to share such information for promotional purposes. Only a few visitors came—two art school students and my landlords, Jan and Janin. In the evening, I made a hotel reservation because the price was significantly cheaper than usual—only 48 EUR. It was very close to the gallery. We could reach the hotel in less than 10 minutes on foot. Eri was not feeling well, so I went to a bar alone. I found a nice bar called Lommertje. A Dutch man started talking to me, and we struck up a conversation. His name was John, and he worked as a medical technician. I stopped by a supermarket on my way back, and we had some sandwiches and salad for dinner. I fell asleep around midnight, I think.
