Talking With a Bartender
It was the last day of three consecutive holidays. I didn’t do anything productive during the the period. I went to the bar My Way. When I almost got there, the rain started. A bartender, Jessica, remembered my name. She asked me, “Are you sleepy?” after she saw me yawn. She drives her car to commute there from Haarlem. It takes 20 min or so). I asked why because I thought she could work in a city, not in this village. She said she loved this village. She has two jobs. She worked at a fish shop in Haarlem. I had two glasses of beer and Jagermeister. I had a cabbage salad and udon noodles for dinner. I fell asleep around 9pm.
