Talking With a Bar Owner

Just before 5 pm, I went to Cafe Yamaneko. Before I left home, my mother told me she had gone there to have a shaved ice. I read some books there as usual. The young women at the next table were talking about traveling abroad, mentioning places like Australia and Italy. After that, I visited Bar Nagomi. I did not know why, but I was suddenly filled with a sense of satisfaction, as if the space around me was melting, and I teared up. I then moved to the bar Ajia-tei. I bought the owner two draft beers, and we talked a lot. He told me he used to have a girlfriend but they broke up. He also told me he used to run a bar in the space where Teppanyaki Naoki is now located. He had once had the ambition to expand his bar, but he lost his passion. I returned home just after 11 pm, took a shower, and dove into bed.
