Take Down the Exhibition

It was the last day of my solo showcase. There were no customers. It had the fewest audience members of any showcase in my life, but it was a good experience. Looking back, the time flew by, but it was actually quite fun. I started taking down the show around 6 pm. Eri and I visited the bar Lommertje. There was a bartender who is Tommy’s mother. She was very hospitable. We drank old Jenever and bitterballen. It was a fun time as usual. We came back home around 10 pm, and I ate instant noodles for dinner. I fell asleep around 11 pm.

Heads-up! These aren't journal entries – they're crafted essays written in English.
Thoughtful, personal, and cross-cultural.
