Run Into the Landlord

I did not have any motivation, so I went to the bar Stiefel. However, it was the day of a kind of open-air market in the village. There were a lot of street stalls. The bar seemed packed, so I moved to the bar My Way. The bar had invited a male singer. He sang songs and walked around the street and inside the bar. It was a fun time. My friend Rolf gave me a beer. I had a hot sandwich and a bitterballen. The latter one was distributed by the bar for free. When I went out of the bar, I found the bar owner Jannet. I had heard that she had gotten a serious cancer, so I thought I would never meet her. She looked like she had lost weight. I tried to give some warm words to her. At that time, my landlord couple was passing by on bicycles. They suggested having some ice cream. We had it on the bench in front of an ice cream shop. I shared Jannet’s condition with them. I also shared the story of why the bar was named My Way: “She has a strong personality, that’s why.” Jan said, “Then, I will open a bar called ANOTHER WAY.” We laughed. I wanted to change the topic, so I said, “By the way…” He said, “Oh, you should open a cafe called BY THE WAY.” We all laughed very much. After I came back home, I took a shower and had leftover grilled salmon and fried rice for dinner. I went to bed around 10 pm.
