Meeting Friends
I left home just after 2 pm to head toward Amsterdam. On the way there, I bought a bottle of water. It was 3 EUR (520 yen). I forgot how expensive things are in the Netherlands. I arrived at the Scheepvaartmuseum and then met a friend. We watched the exhibition “Food For Thought.” It was very meaningful. There were astonishing facts displayed. For example, “More than 46,000 pigs are slaughtered in the Netherlands every day. That is 42 pigs per minute,” and “1 kilogram of tomato seeds is worth more than a kilogram of gold.” After that, we visited a bar and then met another friend. We exchanged gifts from abroad. We moved to another cafe where we met a friend whom I had not met before. Lastly, we visited a steakhouse and had French fries and sausages. We parted ways after 11:15 pm. After I returned home, I had instant noodles with shredded cabbage. I fell asleep around 2 am.
