Language barrier
I have been living in Singapore for 8 months. It is my first time to move abroad.
Recently, I’ve been thinking about language barrier.
I felt it stronger here than in Japan.
It is called “Kotoba no Kabe” in Japanese. It means “Language Wall”.
In general, wall has a negative image and it is a destroying matter.
For example, ‘Berlin Wall’. It was destroyed by hammers, mattocks and heavy machines.
Then, what can destroy Lunguage Wall? I’m sure, it will not be destroyed by any nuclear weapon. However, do we need to break it?
Think it over, have you ever felt any Language Wall with birds? No one feels such a ridiculous thing.
In the end, when you feel it, you want to understand someone, you want to admit something.
Berlin Wall is the same. They knew each other’s values.
Therefore, if you feel any wall to someone or something, I believe that it has a brilliant worth for you.
