Heartwarming People

I went to a weekly farmers market to buy some ginger. It was only €1. I stopped by a stationery store because I wanted to withdraw some cash, but I had left my cash card at home, so I gave up on it that day. After I came back home, I took a shower. I went to the bar Vlaar, but it was packed, so I visited the bar My Way instead. Bart talked to me and hugged me. There were many familiar people there. When I talked with Oki, the topic shifted to a serious one. I was drunk, so I shared my past experience of attempting suicide. At first, I did not feel so serious, but gradually I started to feel sad and cried a little. I confessed that I could not find the meaning of life. That is why I had been binge drinking every night, which is a kind of chronic suicide. I do not know why, but the bar owner Rob joined us and we talked about my feelings. He told me how much he cared about me and invited me to the Wednesday dinner for free. Oki gave me a hug and kissed me. He gave me a memo with his phone number and said, “You can call me anytime, 24 hours.” I really appreciate their great hospitality, and I was moved by their warm words. In the end, it cost about twice what I usually pay. I had two cigarettes and drank too much, and I went to bed around 10 pm without dinner.
