Endless Drinking with Siblings
I attended a siblings’ party in downtown Hiroshima. Seven of us—Nina, Shiho, Miho, Yushi, Abe-san, Kana, and I—gathered at an Italian bar at 6:30 pm. We ordered several bottles of wine and many dishes. After that, Yushi left the party. The remaining members moved to another Japanese-style izakaya and continued drinking. Then Abe-san left after the second bar. The rest of us went to a Spanish-style bar. By midnight, we said goodbye to Miho and Shiho. My two sisters and I then visited a unique bar called Blue Spring. Astonishingly, the bar owner’s sister turned out to be my younger sister Kana’s schoolmate. We all shouted in surprise. The bar owner was a clever person; I thought he was a street-smart guy. He gave thoughtful advice to my elder sister Nina, which brought her to tears. I also had a cigarette there. Just before 4 am, we parted with Kana. Nina and I took a taxi home, and I dove into bed around 5 am.
