A Day of Bar Hopping

I said goodbye to my sister’s family around noon. I can no longer feel happy about being in Japan. I realized that I do not have much interest in food, so even delicious Japanese food does not make me happy. I feel bad about staying at my parents’ house day after day. I went to a cafe called Yamaneko and had some coffee. After that, I went bar hopping at four bars: Sanaya, Kitaro, Ajita-tei, and Daigoro. I bought a new bottle of shochu called Kannoko to keep at Ajita-tei. During that time, I was wondering why I had lost my interest in Japanese things. I wanted to go somewhere, anywhere. I came back home and took a shower. I went to bed around 10 pm, but I could not fall asleep easily. I was wondering why I felt so uncomfortable in Japan. I have to leave Japan as soon as possible.

Heads-up! These aren't journal entries – they're crafted essays written in English.
