Exploring Local Eateries
I went out to buy new sandals because mine were broken. I searched for them at the Aeon mall but could not find a suitable pair. I entered a sushi restaurant and had brunch—or something close to it—without any alcohol. I had six kinds of sushi, and the total cost was only 6.72 EUR! I was reminded once again how affordable everything is in Japan. I used the restroom, read a book for about 30 minutes, and then went to a cafe. I had a coffee and continued reading for another hour. I visited the bar Takomon. It had a good atmosphere, but a family group of eight people came in, which was a bit annoying, so I moved to another bar, Ajia-tei. I drank there for about three hours. I told the bar owner for the first time that I live in the Netherlands. He gave me a cigarette, but it was a menthol one, so I was not satisfied. While drunk, I had a fleeting thought that I wanted to die as soon as possible. I took a shower at home and went to bed just before midnight.
