Bento Duty

I had a headache for some reason, so I took some medicine. I went to the supermarket and bought ingredients for making bento. I chose a Chinese dish for the main item. I made only one bento, although I usually cook two—one for my mother and one for my father. However, I dislike my father these days, so I made just one. I went to the standing bar Nagomi. People were talking about a recent fire nearby. It was a funny and lively time. I stopped by a drugstore and bought plenty of sunscreen. On my way home, I ran into an elderly lady I knew from the karaoke bar Michi. She told me she had heard about me at the cafe Yamaneko. That made me happy because it showed how I have built a social network in this town. I had some leftover bento at home. My mother and I looked at my elementary school graduation photo album. It made me feel nostalgic. I told her that when I was in sixth grade, a music teacher had been burned and killed by a robber. I showed her the blog post I had written about the incident. She shed tears. I went to bed around 11 pm. I read a book for a while before sleeping.
