Concept

I left LA on September 29, 2020, where I lived for about a year and a half, and arrived at Haneda Airport in Japan before dawn on October 1. I was a returnee from abroad, that is, I was suspected of carrying the new coronavirus.
Immediately, a PCR test using saliva specified by Japan was performed. It was negative. But why is the suspicion not clear? Forced to quarantine for two weeks with no choice. So what exactly did the negative test result prove to me?
Perhaps because I am a Christian, I saw something like original sin there. Going abroad is my sin in itself, and it’s impossible for me, who was abroad before the coronavirus pandemic, to avoid this disaster or to rewind and change my choices. Let’s go. In other words, this is the same original sin that I will carry from the moment I was born in this world, and I can no longer do anything about it.
This work is an installation that compares the above-mentioned actual experience to the story of Adam and Eve in the Old Testament. Original sin begins with Adam and Eve, who have been tempted by the evil incarnation of the snake to bite the fruit of their wisdom. Each of these represents a snake as habushu, an eve made of Adam’s ribs as food for a bone-shaped dog, and an apple bitten by the writer himself who is a returnee from overseas as the fruit of wisdom.
On the wall, the silhouette of the cross on which Christ was crucified, and the certificate of stay in the COVID-19 designated area as a criminal note raised overhead.
My suspicion of carrying the coronavirus is still unclear. Because it takes 14 days to clear the suspicion from one day, but as long as you breathe and live, that starting point will continue to be extended forever until you die today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. The suspicion never clears until I finally die (to be exact, my innocence is proved only 14 days after I die).
Isn’t this the same composition as the core story of Christianity, who continued to be suspected of being a savior until the very end, and was revived three days after being executed to clear the suspicion? I would like to overlap this historic incident with the historic Corona wreck, and preserve and verify it in the same way as the scene of the ill-fated incident.

It is the end of the year that is chaotic every day due to the corona wreck that does not seem to converge at all, but I would appreciate it if you could take a look at this challenging exhibition. Thank you for your cooperation.
