Going to Osaka

I woke up around 3:30 am and quickly did my daily routine. I headed toward Hiroshima Station and took a highway bus at 8:35 am. About five hours later, I arrived in Osaka. I checked into a hotel, and about two hours later, Eri came over. We visited a bar and had some food. We returned to the hotel, and Eri had a meeting about crypto. We were disappointed with the content of the meeting. We went out again. I do not remember how many bars we visited. Maybe six or seven bars. We met some interesting people. In particular, an elementary school-aged boy, Kairi-kun was working at the kushikatsu bar. We found a really nice and cheap sushi bar, and finally, we visited a standing motsu-yaki bar. I met a man who came from Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Eri’s legs were hurting, so she went back to the hotel, and I continued talking with him for a while. I went to bed just after 1 am or so.

Hi, this is the guy from Asahikawa we met in Osaka!

Thank you for talking to me the other day. It was such an unexpected and wonderful encounter. I’ve since read some of your essays in Japanese.

For now, I’m just relieved that you didn’t say anything bad about me on your blog. Just kidding.

I’d be happy if we happened to run into each other somewhere again someday.

By the way, the next day, I lost my drawstring bag with my camera inside. Fortunately, it was turned in at a police box a few days later, so I guess everything turned out okay.

I put the sticker you gave me inside my phone case.

As for your question about Christmas, I’d like to fix my knee too, but more than that, I’d like to feel again the kind of excitement I felt as a child.

I don’t speak English, so I’m borrowing the power of a translation tool to write this comment.

Wow! I didn’t expect to get a message from you! I’m very happy that I got to put my bento sticker on your phone! I really appreciate it.

Also, it was funny that you remembered and continued thinking about my boring question.

      > I’d like to feel again the kind of excitement I felt as a child.

I agree with you. As I’m a middle-aged person, I’ve lost almost all my passion for everything.

Anyway, I hope we can meet again somewhere in the future. I hope you’re enjoying your life every day. Let’s both try to keep living in our own unique ways.
