Family Gathering
My sister’s family gathered at my parents’ house. There were 8 or 9 people. We started eating and drinking at noon. We had sushi, roasted duck, which my sister Nina cooked, pizza, and so on. I tried to keep my drinking pace lower than usual. In the evening, I went shopping by myself. On the way there, I met Inoue-san. He said he would pick up a yakiniku combo for his wife’s birthday. I congratulated him. Around 6:30 pm, we had dinner. After dinner, we set off fireworks in the yard and played card games and board games. We talked and laughed a lot throughout the day. That night, my mom told me that one of the toilets was clogged, so we should use the second-floor toilet instead. It was next to my room, so I felt a bit uncomfortable. I fell asleep around 11:30 pm.
