A Visit to a Public Bath

It has been extremely hot every day in Japan. In the evening, I went to a public bath called Hono-yu. I washed my entire body for the first time in about a year. I took a short nap there. I went to the bar Takomon. I realized how ridiculously cheap that bar was. I stopped by a supermarket and bought some discounted food. Those prices gave me the impression that I was in heaven. I had dinner at home. My mom prepared Hiroshima’s famous Japanese anchovy sashimi. My dad watched TV, my mom watched TV in another room, and I read a book while having dinner. We did not talk to each other. I fell asleep around 11 pm. It was not a special day. In fact, it was rather boring.
