Watching a Vietnam War Movie

I had pho at a local noodle restaurant for breakfast. It was only 50,000 VND (1.62 EUR). I completed my daily routine, including writing a blog article and painting a picture. I took a short nap and then went to the Beta Cinemas My Dinh by Grab taxi. I watched Red Rain, a movie themed around the Vietnam War. The ticket was only 55,000 VND (1.78 EUR)! It was incredibly cheap! The battle scenes were extremely realistic and gory. However, some young women shouted for joy, even yelling “Yes!” Applause also broke out. I was really astonished and impressed by how differently each culture reacts. After that, I wandered around looking for a good bar. I entered a Japanese bar, but after glancing at the menu I changed my mind. (I had just been in Japan yesterday, so I did not need to eat such expensive dishes in Vietnam.) I walked for over half an hour, but the area was full of Korean-style restaurants. I took Grab and returned to my hotel. I visited the same bar I had gone to the previous night. I had stir-fried frog with bamboo, which was not very delicious to me. I also had mango and jellyfish salad. The portions were too large, so I had to leave almost all the dishes unfinished. I continued drinking in my hotel room. I watched a documentary TV program and had a pork bun and some nuts with beer. I soaked in hot water and slept for a while in the bathtub. I finally fell asleep around midnight.
