All-Night Drinking
I had a nice breakfast at the hotel. I said goodbye to Eri in the hotel room just before 11 am, and then I also checked out. I did my daily routine in the hotel lobby. I picked up a movie ticket and went to Inokuchi Cinema 109. I watched Kokuho, which has a good reputation, but I did not enjoy it very much. Furthermore, the young students sitting behind me were really noisy. They giggled at random scenes in the movie. It irritated me. I visited the bar Torisen—it was my second time there. I met the bar owner’s partner, a woman who works at a school for people with disabilities. She used to work as a designer, and our conversation got lively. I also met a man named Kusaka-san. He is not a smart guy, but his life is interesting. He once encountered a severe motorcycle accident and suffered serious burns. His tattoo was burned in the exact shape of the original snake design. I took the tram back to my nearest station and went to the bar Ajia-tei. The bar owner sat down next to me and we talked endlessly. Time flew, and we ended up drinking until after 5 am. It was an unbelievable night! I went to bed just before 6 am.
