Train Service Disruption
I woke up just after 10 am in my hotel room. It was quite a comfortable hotel because the room had a bathtub. Normally, European hotels do not have one, but this one did. I checked out of the hotel at noon and then went to the gallery. I did my daily routine there, including muscle training. There were few customers. One of them works at a printing studio, so Eri and I followed her to her studio. She showed us her lithograph work. She is from Greece and has been staying in the Netherlands for four years. She missed Greek dishes. After closing the gallery at 7 pm, I went to the bar Lommertje, which I had visited the previous night. I had bitterballen and a variety of beers. The bartender, Tommy, was a fun guy. We were supposed to go back home, but at Zaandam station, we got involved in a train accident. Their train schedule was canceled several times, so we gave up on returning home, and I made a hotel reservation. The cost was 66 EUR in total. It was a huge pain for me. We arrived at the hotel room just before midnight, and all the supermarkets were already closed. We only had leftover bread and instant noodles, so we had to eat such a poor dinner. I fell asleep after midnight.
