Gathering With Vietnamese People
I woke up just before 8 am and went to a local restaurant for breakfast. It was tasty. I have been super comfortable in Vietnam this time, and I want to stay here forever. I published my new blog article, and I am glad that I can resume writing activities consistently. In the evening, I visited a rice noodle shop and had a Vietnamese Fried Shrimp Cake. Then, I moved to another restaurant whose atmosphere resembled a Singaporean hawker centre. While I was drinking, a Vietnamese man talked to me. He said, “You stand out because normal Vietnamese people usually drink in groups, but you are alone.” He invited me to join their group. He was drinking with his 35-year-old brother and his friend. They gave me a lot of beer, and he even paid for all my food and drinks. I was astonished by his hospitality. However, his body contact was a bit too much for me (I assumed such behaviour is normal in Vietnam). I fell asleep around midnight.
