I went to the dental clinic by bus. The dentist asked me why I had removed the attachments for my braces. I explained, but she said this situation might add extra costs. It felt unfair, but I had no choice. After that, I went to a restaurant bar and had just one glass of beer because the waiter’s attitude was not very warm. I stopped by a second-hand shop and bought a hat. It was cheap, only 19 EUR. I then visited a bar called Cafe ’t Ossehoofd. It was a nice place, and I told the waiter I would definitely be back. When I arrived home, just after 7 pm, I found my landlords, Jan and Janine, had returned from their trip to Germany. I gave them gifts from Japan, along with a letter from my sister Kana. They were moved to the point of tears. They served me a simple dinner of macaroni with a fried egg. I thought it was very plain, but it must be a traditional Dutch style. We talked until around 9:30 pm. Later, I continued eating and drinking in my room. I took a shower and fell asleep just before midnight.

It was a rainy day. I went to the dental clinic by bus.
