After that, I stopped by a used bookstore in front of the station and bought a book about Edo by Hinako Sugiura. It was incredibly interesting, even though it cost only 165 JPY. Books are the most fantastic thing in the world. I visited the yakitori bar Don, but the owner’s behavior was terrible, so I moved to another bar, Ohgiya. I had two skewers and then went back home. When I returned, my mother had just come back too. She had attended my nephew’s high school sports day. We had a quick bite at home, but then decided to go out to a bar together. She wanted to visit a bar she had recently discovered, but it was closed, so we went to my regular bar, Ajia-tei. We chatted and had omurice. We met the bar owner’s cousin whom we had met before.
